Paul Lauer is originally from Honolulu, Hawaii. He moved to Folly Beach, SC in 1997 and founded CDI Homes. While working as a developer and living on Folly Beach he discovered the need for upscale overnight accommodations and began constructing Waters Edge Inn, which opened its doors in March 2007.
Paul lives on-site and enjoys mingling with the guests. He also works as a Folly Beach Firefighter. He spends his free time with his two children.

About the Island.....
Folly Beach has always been part of coastal South Carolina's history and charm.
