Folly’s Hidden Gems

Well, you made it here to Water’s Edge Inn, so you have already discovered the best kept, not so secret, hidden gem on Folly Beach.  Thanks to the most recent review from the popular website, Yelp, ranking Water’s Edge Inn as the best bed and breakfast in the state of South Carolina, the secret is out.  The local paper known as The Folly Current followed the story up by highlighting the unique location; “Tucked in the grove of West Indian and 2nd Street West rests the quaint Water’s Edge Inn. The secluded location gives guests a quiet waterside retreat only a block away from Center Street and just a short stroll to the beach.”

Folly Beach is unique for many things, but the “off-the-beaten-path” establishments are one of our favorite things about Folly. Below are a few of the most notable that you won’t want to miss! We promise they are worth the walk.

Hint for getting there- this spot is a little tricky as it really is tucked back. The GPS will get you close. Once you get to the parking lot, you will walk over a small bridge next to the bike rack.  On the other side of the bridge you will see The Regatta Inn to your left, to your right you will see a gravel walking path between two houses.  Follow that gravel path and the marina will be in front of you.  As you approach the marina, you will go to the left and up the stairs which will take you to the bar and the spectacular viewing deck!
