Did you ever think you’d have the opportunity to ice skate right next to the beach? Well, Folly Beach has you covered. Join us from December 15th – 17th, 2023, to skate on a synthetic skating rink with the ocean as your backdrop. The skating area will feature all of the wintery fun you expect from a skating area: hot cocoa, food and snack vendors, festive holiday decorations, twinkling lights, and a magical ambiance.
2022 was the first year Folly offered a holiday skating rink, and it was unseasonably cold (40’s for us is REALLY cold!) This year, we’re hoping for something a little more normal for us … 60s during the day and 50s at night.
Skating will cost $10 per time slot and will run during the following hours:
Friday 12.15 – 4pm – 8pm
Saturday 12.16 – 12pm – 8pm
Sunday 12.17 – 11am – 7pm
Tickets will be available at https://visitfolly.com/ice-skating-on-folly-beach. Do some skating then walk back to Water’s Edge Inn for some hot cocoa on the deck while you watch a fabulous sunset. It’s a fantastic opportunity to embrace the holiday spirit and be able to tell your friends and family that you went ice skating on Folly Beach.
