It is a celebration done Folly-style. Then, on January 1, 2024, ring in the new year with Folly Beaches very own Bill Murray Look-a-Like Polar Plunge, where goers pay homage to one of Charleston’s famous residents, Bill Murray, by dressing up as their favorite Bill Murray character and taking the plunge into the chilling Atlantic Ocean. The annual plunge is beachside at the Tides Hotel and includes a costume contest.
